How We Work

Project

Perhaps you want to hire us to work on a single project. You’ll give us all the relevant information, including target audience for the project, timelines and existing materials. Once we’ve assessed what you need, we will provide you with a written time and cost estimate before beginning.

Projects are payable with a 30% to 50% deposit to start, and the balance due once the project is complete.

Retainer

If you require ongoing marketing help or know you will have many projects over two months or more, we will set up a retainer agreement. We will estimate how many hours of time you will require per month. We will agree on a cost and number of hours. Retainer agreements are payable on a monthly or bi-weekly schedule. Retainers can be dissolved in writing.

Payment

We accept business or personal checks, credit cards via PayPal, cash and money orders. Paying by credit card incurs an additional 3% surcharge.  Our policy is 30 days net for most invoices. As a small business, we cannot afford to extend credit to our clients, and we respectfully request full payment as and when invoiced.

Late Fees

Invoices that are not paid after 30 days from date of invoice are subject to late fees on the following schedule:

31-60 days: 20% late fee

61-90 days: 25% late fee

91-120 days: 30% late fee

Any invoice that is unpaid after 121 days will be subject to a 50% late fee, remitted to immediate collection, and the client relationship will be immediately terminated.

No work on spec

Finally, DBMC does not provide spec work. If you require a sample, we will provide you with work done for previous clients. If you want us to produce something specifically for you, we require payment.
